Eddie Senior’s new leather wrap

Eddie Sr. brought me his Meucci for a leather wrap after seeing Jimmy’s.

We all agreed that a baby lizard embossed leather wrap would look great with this cue.

Tapering

Made a few passes on some shafts first, then followed up cutting some forearms. You can see the color difference between some of the new and old maple stock.

Pechauer leather wrap

Picked up Jimmy’s vintage Pechauer for some upgrades (leather wrap and ivory ferrule.)

Ferrule repair

Picked up a shaft for a ferrule replacement. The customer says the cue has a click in it when you hit the ball. When I got to the shop, I took the ferrule in my hand and you could bend it and hear it click.

Curious to see what I’d find inside, I cut it open to reveal-

Notice all the epoxy that was used to fill the void

A new tenon was added and the new ferrule was custom fit to the tenon so it didn’t need nearly as much glue!
